Notice for Single Visitors
In order to maintain an appropriate balance between males and females, Blue Lake primarily accepts couples or families
for membership. We have a quota
for singles. If you are a single, contact the office by postal mail to be added to our list. Please include names of
AANR camps visited previously, a reference and let us know if you are already an
AANR member. Do not come to the gate without a specific invitation from the
office. We wouldn't want you to make an unnecessary trip.

We recommend anyone new choose a weekend with nice weather for your initial
visit and contact the office before your arrival. Some of the
current members will be happy to show you around the facilities, if you like.
Directions
Exit from Interstate 80 (Illinois) onto Interstate 88 eastbound.
Follow I-88 approximately 18 miles to the Erie-Albany exit.
Follow the access road two miles into Erie to the first stop sign, turn right onto Illinois Route 2, for three blocks.
Turn left at the Pink Pony Drive-in onto 6th Avenue for one block, turn right onto 5th Avenue, turn left, go three miles to Cooper Road, turn left to the first drive, turn left into lane.
